[The door to the mysterious candy house is left open, which is the strangest part of this. It's also strange that a house made of candy can manage to have a working door at all, but here we are. Inside, there's a boy who looks about 18 and far too unharmed for how far into the forest he's wandered. There are no scuff marks on any of his pure white clothing, on his skin, no scratches, no bruises.
But he's incredibly thin and frail looking, so it must have been luck that brought him here. Still, however it was that he managed to get here without being harmed, he's now standing inside of the house, not far from the doorway, popping a cute little colored candy into his mouth. He couldn't resist!
Of course, when he turns to see who's walked in behind him, there's an instant urge he can't seem to understand.]

[You know what Eichi doesn't really do? Cook. Not when he has staff to do it for him, friends who are willing to help him, money to buy whatever he needs. But here, stuck in this mostly-grey town and watching ingredients turn pale before him, it's even more upsetting. He doesn't even have tea to ease his mind about it?
Eventually, he takes to the streets, to wherever he can find someone. An open window in your kitchen? Maybe he's there, suddenly, peering through with a soft, angelic smile. Or maybe you're preparing food in public. Either way...]
Ah, that looks quite delicious. ♪ Did you make it yourself? You must be very talented with that sort of thing. I have to admit, I'm a bit envious.

Eichi shouldn't do quests
[Something Eichi shouldn't be considering at all is coming face to face with a cockatrice. Isn't that a mythical beast that's rumored to kill anyone it looks at or breathes on? Something like that, like straight out of a fairytale.
Later, he'll talk to just about anyone about it.]
To be honest, I'm a little disappointed. Isn't is true that there have been quests that were far more poetic than this? I was hoping to hear a beautiful story and unwind a riddle from it, leading to the true quest. With these straightforward words and no room for imagination, it's a little dull... It doesn't draw the reader in at all.
[Draw the reader in...? It's a quest? He hums anyway, like he's thinking about it, and touches his fingertips to his own chin, eyeing the person he's with. Actually, they look quite capable enough...] That being said, to hear that there may be a mythical creature here is too strange to believe, isn't it? But even if that were the case, a task as simple as "feeding" it... That's something that even I can do, with this weak body of mine.
