"I already took a quick look around the place before," he says, helpfully. It would've helped to have mentioned as much prior, but hey. It didn't come up then. "There weren't no traps or seals, just a bunch'a crumbs and frostin'."
Obviously he hadn't had a taste of anything, and he can't say poking around a place coated in sugar was his favorite thing to do with his time, but at least he can say it's definitely safe from a physical standpoint. So, it's with that in mind--as well as the vague implication that he won't investigate further, because he's stubborn enough to prove her wrong--that he decides to finally drop from his branch, swinging down to land all but silently against the greyed out grasses. He doesn't go towards the unoccupied space as instructed, but rather approaches Yosano herself.
He places his hands on his hips once he's close (carefully near his swords, should he need them... she's got a cleaver, y'all) and tilts his head curiously.
"What'll ya do if it does turn out t'be poison, meow? Even if it's all broken up, you gonna make it yer responsibility to keep everyone outta here?"
