[ It’s definitely a literal out-of-body experience to hear that very particular brand of tense resent from someone standing next to them rather than from...their own body, but it definitely doesn’t change how they feel about it. Ghost is the only one Cairngorm would ever let talk to them like this— it’s standard for their relationship, so they don’t retaliate like they’ve grown to when others speak to them in a condescending fashion. They just let it go, like they always have. ]
