Prompt 1:
t's probably been at least a little while since you managed to climb out of the well, so hopefully you've dried off by now and are enjoying poking around the Town. But who cares about all of that? More importantly, the Town has a new feature this time, for reasons entirely unknown to everyone.
The flowers...seem to be talking. They have no faces, but they will definitely turn to talk to you, and if they have had their color restored, they will very brightly and contentedly compliment you, or your clothing, or wish you well.
If they haven't? Prepare yourself for all sorts of horrible, horrible insults, because that's all that's coming your way.
Prompt 2:
ow are you settling in? Is the Town treating you well? It's not as bad as it used to be; some of the houses have color, some of the food has color and taste as well. It's been polished up a bit since everyone first got here.
Granted, when you wake up that morning to find yourself in full fancy wear of many different types (all colorless, and gender has nothing to do with which you might end up in), you'll find that the Town might not be as well put together as it seems.
You can't get out of the formal wear. It just won't come off, no matter what you do. Which wouldn't be so bad, but... it seems like these clothes will snag on just about everything in the Town, which is far from smooth. Try not to trip over those loose cobblestones, or your dress snagging on a nail sticking out from a door frame. This is really not the place for this sort of clothing.
Prompt 3:
e loves me, he loves me not... that's a pretty familiar game, right? For some reason, the urge to pick one of those flowers and casually pluck the petals from it while playing that game is going to grow stronger and stronger the more flowers you see. Eventually? You're just going to have to cave to it.
(Certainly it doesn't help that the flowers scream a bit when you pull their petals; they still can talk right now, after all!)
She loves you, she loves you not...and by the time you've picked the last petal, you've forgotten who you were even thinking of originally -- instead, the very next person you see is going to be the victim of a very impassioned declaration of love. Don't worry, you'll come back to yourself...after you declare your undying love for everyone to hear.
Prompt 4:
ut no matter how many people tell you not to go into the forest, however, it's still rather enticing, isn't it? It's sitting right there, waiting for you to explore it, waiting for you to just step a little bit out of the Town...
And soon, you're surrounded by the dark boughs of the trees, the twisty, turny paths of the woods, where it feels like you're wandering in circles for hours upon hours --
And then, after ages of tree branches yanking at your hair and roots tripping you up, you find a clearing.
And in that clearing? There's a field of flowers. They're colorless -- strangely eerie because of it, but still distinctly recognizable to the flower familiar as Asphodel. And touching any single one of those flowers will suddenly give you vivid memories of one of your precious friends -- so long as they're dead. Anyone around you is going to experience that flash of memory too, so be careful!

She doesn't know the man, or the dog, or this boy, but this is... family. A supportive family, where the parent is quietly proud and the boy must find some measure of happiness in that.
It makes something ache, deep inside of her, but once the vision clears and she blinks through her tears (but why is she crying), it's to look down and see not paws, but thin human hands.
Oh. She'd transformed back, hadn't she, and she utters not a word, or a sound, just shrinks down where she is because she also happens to be naked. ]
no subject
Quickly, he turns to check on the small tiger, wondering if it had just been something forced onto him. Except......
...there's no tiger, there's a girl?
He visibly starts. The nudity doesn't bother him in any social way at first--he's trying to make sense of a girl? and tears?? as opposed to a tiger. (His eyes hastily dart around for the tiger, too.) What in the world...]
Who--
[But then it dawns on him suddenly this is, in fact, a girl and she's naked, and he pauses just long enough to turn the brightest of reds. IT'S A GIRL SHE'S NAKED SHE'S CRYING these are all things compiled to work against him!!!!!
The haori-like shirt is ripped off faster than he realizes, and he forces it over her shoulders and around her arms and front.] Here. Where... Where did you come from? [He's already unraveling the cloth belt from his hand so she can use that too.]
no subject
Oh. Well this is more personal space infringement from a boy than she's had in quite some time, and normally she'd yelp or shriek or flail or something, but no, there's not a peep from her. She does go from crying to looking incredibly overwhelmed by this forced dressing, though, so! Good job, Damian!
She does appear to try to answer him, opening her mouth briefly-- but nothing emerges and she shrinks down a little more, closing her mouth again. Well. She should have known better than to expect that the words would just come. ]
no subject
What he is use to, however, is muteness thanks to Dextera, and he doesn't try to pressure her into answering his question. Instead, he unfurls his fingers and holds the cloth belt up for her to take. She doesn't have to use it immediately, but it's for her to hold onto for now.
Welp... The basics, he guesses?] I'm Damian.
no subject
Not that it means Kisa is grasping that belt at any level of speed, but she will slowly reach out for it and look at him uncertainly. Introducing herself isn't going to be easy, but carefully, her lips move, forming syllables.
"Ki" and "sa". ]
no subject
Dang... Where's his dad when he needs the man the most?
Professionally, there's a lot he wants to ask, but being she isn't exactly speaking right now... he doesn't want to push it.] You were the tiger. [It's a suspicion, one he hates, but he doesn't pose it as a question. In the end, she can confirm or deny it.]
The flower...?
no subject
And a third nod. He probably understands now why she hadn't wanted him touching the flowers, and he'd been smart enough to try and take a different route when dealing with them, but she's wondering if she should have tried harder to stop him. The memory hadn't seemed painful, though?
Still. When she looks at him, it's with furrowed brows and an apologetic frown, right before she lowers her gaze. Sorry, Damian, she didn't mean to cause you problems. ]
no subject
It makes him take the time to think about how she feels rather than what she saying.] It's fine. I assumed covering my hand would help. I was going to take one to study later, and I should have retrieved it with something else.
[For a long moment, he's quiet too. His eyes drift back to the flower on the ground, then to the rest of them.]
It was my father. The man. It was... a memory.
why is this gently killing me
So for now, she merely listens. There's something soft and worried entering her eyes, because from what she's been observing, people had been experiencing more painful memories. But this one had been kind. So it had been a good memory, right? ]
perish
We went to see an eclipse.
[Went into space to see it. And Damian had asked his father if the man had loved his mother. Because even Damian Wayne had been a ten year old boy then with ten year old boy worries.]
He taught me that the way you see things always depends on perspective. [Finally, he looks back at her and, slowly, he stands up. But one hand extends down in offering.] Can you stand?
I can get us out of the forest.
no subject
Ah, well, not that Kisa knows any of this. Besides, if he teaches important life lessons like that, she thinks he must be a good father. It's... definitely a lesson worth taking to heart.
But she nods after a few seconds of mulling this over, hesitantly reaching out to take his hand. She may be a girl now, rather than the tiger he'd met, but there's still a sense of trepidation about her, like she's expecting to be attacked. ]
no subject
They have exactly (1) outfit between the two of them.] Come on.
Don't worry about the flowers. They might not even be there for long. The forest changes.
If you get tired, I'll just carry you on my back.
no subject
Because if he tries to carry her, he's just going to end up with a tiger cub again, and she'd rather not cause him any more trouble than she already has.
At least for once Damian gets to hang out with someone a little bit shorter than him. ]
no subject
Don't go out of my sight. [He has no shirt right now for her to grab onto, so for added measure, he reaches back to try to take her by the hand.] If the forest changes, you could get separated and lost.
Or something could attack us.
no subject
All the more reason to stay close, and her grip tightens uneasily.
Lead on, Damian. ]
no subject
Getting out the forest is easier, surprisingly, than wandering in through it. There's no doubt it changes, even as they walk. Any landmarks he's made or he makes with his eyes are gone when he takes the time to look back. Sometimes, he pauses to listen briefly for anything.
He can't believe nothing is trying to make them miserable, and he feels uselessly stupid for telling her to be paranoid once they come out of the many mouths of the woods. The only strange thing is he went in on the Ruga side, and the two of them came out on the Flavo one.]
There. We're out. You should be safe now.
no subject
They made it out okay-- and maybe Damian was just being paranoid, but it feels more like they made it out precisely because he'd been looking out for her.
With a careful squeeze, as though to let him know she's okay now, Kisa additionally lowers her head and bows slightly. She can even muster a smile.
Thank you, Damian! ]
